Beautiful Manang

Traditional Houses- Houses in Manang is set of museum that reflects culture of the people living in it. The housed are designed according to the climate and living style. A typical house is with mud rooftop, which holds the flag scripted with Mantras of Buddhism. The ground floor accommodates the cattle. The first floor allows cooking, meetings and sleeping and the second floor is storage of foodsManang Village in winter season- Manang locates it self in the height of 3540m that is why snow is common in the winter. Snow makes this village more calm and quite. Most of the villagers are busy inside their traditional kitchen drinking the Tibetan tea and local wine while winter covers their house with the white and soft wrapper
The panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan Range- Annapurna Himalayan Range takes Manang Village in its lap. The Highest elevation in this range is Annapurna -I (8091m).
The Yak- Yak is the domestic animal and it is one of the economic sources of the people of Manang. It is main source of meat and it is a means of transportation of goods too. Yak is essential in most of the cultural celebration which happens in village. Yak has been useful to the indigenous people since ancient times.
The simple and beautiful Faces- The indigenous people of Manang are hard working. The culture of simplicity adds the inner beauty the faces of Manang. Chilling cold does make-up on chicks of the children which look likes the red apple which are ripened there.
Hand made wooden Bridge over kinetic Marshyangdi River-Traditional Bridges links the villages of Manang with the grazing land for yaks, goat, sheep and horse. Marshyangdi generates the second and third biggest Hydro-Projects of Nepal. The river starts its journey from the highest lake in the world, Tilicho Lake (4919m) which lies in Manang District.
The Melting Gangapurna Glaciers- the Gangapurna glacier lies face to face with the village of village Manang. It is one of attractions for the tourist who wants see Himalayan glaciers very closely. Global warming is warning the beauty of this glacier. The Gangapurna glacial lake was formed with in the past 50 years due to global warming. The close look of magnificent snow capped Mountain- The view of Annapurna-IV (7535m) from Dhukur Pokhari. The silver look of Annapurna changes into the golden as Sun kisses these mountains from different angles.

Calm and quiet Dhukur Pokhari (The Dove Pond) - Dhukur Pokhari stay calm and quiet in the morning to let the mountain to see their beautiful faces. This pond is named after the bird dove. The indigenous people of Manang believe that doves clean this pond by removing the leaves that fall in the pond.

Trail into the Beauty- A tourist from Canada heading towards Manang Village through the beauty of Pisang pick. Manang attracts more than 100,000 tourists every year from different part of the world to take the challenge of adventures with its beauty.
